Inspire Oakland Design Challenge

Top 14 Finalist: Placed in the top 20 among 800+ students spanning nearly 20 schools and community colleges in the Inspire Oakland 2020 Digital Media Competition for my design, “OAKLAND'S ESSENTIAL WORKERS.”

 

Attended Inspire Oakland 2020 Finale presented by BRIDGEGOOD (1224 Harrison Street, Oakland), where my design was judged by Design Professionals from companies like The Clorox Company, Facebook, Kaiser Permanente, Google, eBay, Climb, and Twitter.

BRIDGEGOOD is an award-winning 501 ©(3) nonprofit organization, supported by Google and the Golden State Warriors, that provides equitable tech access, design opportunities, and professional resources to job seekers that are predominantly Black, Indigenous, and Women/People of Color.

How can we showcase designs from local artists to the whole city of Oakland? How can we help local artists gain exposure for their work? How do I create a billboard design that shows what inspires me about Oakland?
